Bio
Dr. Porter brings 26 years of experience to Children's Hospital of Austin as a board-certified anesthesiologist, specializing in pediatric anesthesiology.
Upon receiving his undergraduate at the University of Texas, Dr. Porter went on to receive medical training through the University of Texas Medical Branch with a masters in physiology. He served his anesthesiology residency through the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, followed by a pediatric anesthesia fellowship at Denver Children's Hospital and Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Porter is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, American Society of Anesthesiologists, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and the Pediatric Anesthesia Society. In addition, he is a faculty member of the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Special interests include roller-blading and running.
